Razorblack

Razorblack is a Finnish gothic rockband formed back in summer 2005. Main influences come from 70`s and 80`s rock, mixed with a taste of gothic melancholy and heavy metal. All the members of the band live in Porvoo, a city near the capital, Helsinki, in southern Finland. Band has been operational since fall 2005, when the rehearsals began. Band produces it`s own material in good speed, with own unique sound and idealism. The forming members are Patrik Hannus (Vocals) and John Rehnstrand (Lead and Rythm Guitars). The idea was to create same kind of music as Charon, Type O Negative and so on, until the own image of gothic rock was born between the starting members of Razorblack. Later, a left handed bass genious Tomas Oksanen joined the band. Next stop was the drummer. Tenho “Teukka” Leppä, a drummer influenced by many deathmetal bands was a new kick to our band`s butt. Band continued allmost one year with these members creating very first songs of Razorblack. In fall 2006, band was searching for a new spirit to join their chamber. Options were another guitarplayer or a keyboardist. Soon band saw an announcement in the internet of another gothicrock guitarist. Sami “Ami” Ranta (Lead & Rythm Guitars and Backing Vocals) was soon connected to the band. Ever since has Razorblack been busy with doing gigs and composing new material..
